With the independence of Ukraine, the function of the former Union foreign trade association “Soyuzpromexport” for the export of iron ore from mining enterprises was assumed by Slavutich Economic Association established in 1991, headed by Moroz Oleksandr Grygorovych.
Later, the association was transformed into the State Foreign Economic Enterprise “Slavutich-Ruda”, which is the only enterprise in this industry had a quota for the export of iron ore to European countries – Austria, Italy, Bulgaria, Romania, Czech Republic, Poland, Slovakia – using the railway, river and sea transport.
From 1992 to 1994, Slavutich-Ruda was a general exporter of iron and manganese ores, whose exports from Ukraine amounted about 27 million tons per year.
Throughout its history, the company has undergone many transformations and reorganizations, but it has managed to retain its main name and team.
In October 2012, Slavutich-Ruda-Ukraine LLC opened its customs warehouse of open type, which is located in a place with convenient road and rail connections. The area of the warehouse is 576 m2. The territory of the customs warehouse is a zone of customs control and is an integral part of the customs territory of Ukraine. Foreign or Ukrainian goods can be stored in the warehouse under customs control thereby.
